Today, members of cooperatives and farmers, especially from Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASALs), participated in an impactful event organised by Prompt Innovations Limited from India, in collaboration with the Rural Afrique Institute Foundation (RAIF).

The programme showcased the latest dairy innovations aimed at improving milk quality and increasing farmer earnings.

Key solutions included modern milk chillers to minimise post-harvest milk losses and early pregnancy detection technologies for cows, which enable timely breeding decisions and improved herd productivity.

These innovations are critical in empowering rural communities by enhancing milk quality, improving animal health management, and increasing incomes for smallholder dairy farmers, particularly in climate-vulnerable regions.

RAIF Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to working with global innovation partners to scale practical, farmer-centred technologies that strengthen cooperatives and promote sustainable rural livelihoods in Kenya.
